Taiwan Hot Spring and Renewable Resources Center

The Taiwan Hot Spring and Renewable Resources Center (THSRRC) was established on December 9, 2003. Its mission is to assist the government and the tourism industry in hot spring research and development. This is the first hot spring research center in Taiwan. It is a multidisciplinary center that combines human and equipment resources from six departments in the university: the Department of Recreation and Healthcare Management, the Department of Environmental Engineering and Science, the Department of Occupational Safety & Health, the Institute of Occupational Safety and Disaster Prevention, the Institute of Hot Spring Industry, the Department of Tourism Management, and the Department of Environmental Resources and Management. On 27 May 2005, the THSRRC was further incorporated with the Taiwan Water Resources Agency to serve as a semi-governmental platform to integrate resources related to hot spring management from industry, government, and academia.
