The School of Continuing Education

The School of Continuing Education aims to enhance the workforce by linking academia to industry. The School offers the workforce with an opportunity to further education to meet their professional needs and enhance their work efficiency. We also offer a variety of short term, flexible programs and providing professional development opportunities.

Organization

The School of Continuing Education at Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science is grouped into four divisions:

  • Curriculum Division
  • Registration Division
  • Student Affairs Division
  • Continuing Education Center

Admissions & Graduation Requirements

Master's Degree Programs
  • Admission Requirements

All applicants must have held a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Taiwan or from an equivalent international institution for at least one year. Applicants must also pass the entrance examination to enter the desired program. Each applicant can only apply for admission to one program at Chia Nan University. 

  • Requirements for Graduation 

The master's degree is granted upon the satisfactory completion of a planned curriculum of 24 credits and 6 credits for the thesis. Candidates must finish the curriculum within 4 years.

Four-year Bachelor’s Degree Programs
  • Admission Requirements

All applicants must have a diploma from an accredited vocational high school or senior high school, or an equivalent qualification. Applicants must pass the entrance examination to enter the desired program. Applicants from day-time senior high schools must have graduated at least one year earlier than the year of application.

  • Requirements for Graduation

A bachelor’s degree is granted upon the satisfactory completion of a planned curriculum of 128 credits, including Physical Education and Military training. Department of Pharmacy candidates must complete a planned curriculum of 148 credits. The program of study is approximately 4 years. Candidates are allowed 2 more years to finish incomplete studies if necessary. 

Two-year Bachelor’s Degree Programs
  • Admissions Requirements

All applicants must have a diploma from an accredited junior college, the equivalent qualification from an international junior college, or an equivalent qualification. Applicants must provide scores for the entrance examination to enter the desired program. Applications for admission to the Department of Pharmacy are only accepted from applicants who were pharmacy majors in junior college.

  • Graduation Requirements

The Bachelor’s degree is granted upon the satisfactory completion of a planned program of 72 credits including Physical Education. Duration of study is approximately 2 years. Candidates are allowed 2 additional years to finish incomplete studies if necessary.
